As a very young boy, Terry started singing at the top of his lungs while swinging on his back porch. As young men, Terry and his brother Mike, started singing with their parents at their church. After several years, Terry went on to sing bass in a gospel group, until he later helped form The Sheppard Brothers band. Terry adds a powerful tenor and lead vocal to the band along with the duties of the mandolin. Although quite reserved on stage, Terry lets his singing do the talking for him. Terry married Shirley in 1977 and they have two grown children, Emmy and Scott. In Terry's spare time, he likes raising beagle dogs and training pups for others. He also enjoys building things in his woodworking shop in Newark West Virginia, where he and his wife Shirley reside. |
